“You don’t get new ideas by wrecking your brain, wait until an idea pops up spontaneously,” the wealthy author spoke amid applause. His book is a winner’s guide to success and dwells how life takes its own course in shaping ideas and fortune. “I always prepare myself to meet the right time and opportunity,” he said.

In a discussion with journalist Hindol Sengupta, Chaudhary enlightened guests on the importance of inner-voice and instincts. “For everything I do I follow my instincts and they therefore lead me to the righteous destination. I let my Karma decide for myself.”

When asked upon his religious beliefs, he said, “I’m not a religious person but I’m a spiritual one. I follow Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji.”

People in the audience were surprised to learn about his first start-up, a discotheque in 70s! “I started my business career with a discotheque, and it was fun with business!” To have a discotheque in the 70s was quite a bold decision, however, the businessman defied society’s rules in style.

He also gave tips to young entrepreneurs. “Never stop yourself when failure hits you, stand up, work hard and hit back. You will only do well when you have seen the dark side of everything. Failure isn’t the end, it’s the beginning,” he said.
