The organisers of The Fairytale’ss exhibition slam TV actor Tinaa Dattaa for ‘ruining their event’ despite paying ‘good money’. By Karan Bhardwaj
Anybody who crossed or moved around North Delhi knew that television actor Tina Dattaa, better known as Ichha from Uttran, was coming to celebrate fashion exposition called The Fairytale’ss. Huge posters, billboards, newspaper ads were flashed by the organisers all over Delhi to ensure a large number of footfall. On the day of the exhibit (October 14), Delhi’s women thronged the venue of Crowne Plaza, Rohini, not just to shop but also to catch a glimpse of their favourite television actress. However, Dattaa’s absence from the venue till the wee hours of the event left Delhi as well as media disappointed.

Women who shopped incessantly returned complaining. According to the information circulated, the actress was supposed to be present at the venue around noon. The exhibition, which was scheduled between 11-8 pm, recorded huge turnout in the afternoon. Even Delhi’s socialites were seen meandering at the hotel in the daytime. The anchor who was engaging visitors with different activities kept the audience hooked saying ‘the actress would show up anytime soon.’ However, there was no sign of Dattaa till 7’o clock in the evening. The media, including us, which was invited to interview the actress, also left the venue after waiting for good 5-6 hours. (Last we waited for five hours was for Shah Rukh Khan).

‘TINA IS ‘UNPROFESSIONAL”
The organisers have blamed Tinaa Dattaa for being ‘highly unprofessional’ and acting ‘pricey’ for ‘no reason’. “We were expecting her to land around 11 in the morning. But we were told she took the flight from Mumbai at 2pm. After arriving at the venue, she started throwing unnecessary tantrums. She even refused to wear the decided outfit which was shortlisted by her team only,” Nikita Khattar Arya, the founder of The Fairytale’ss, tells Born of Web. Nikita says she has dealt with celebrities earlier also but never faced such humiliation. “It was an amazing exposition with the best of clothes and accessories but we had also promised visitors to make them meet the special guest of the day. However, Tina landed in the evening when stalls had started to wrap up. The only people left at the venue were from participating labels. This entire episode has caused damage to our hard-earned reputation,” she complains.
According to sources close to the organisers, the actress had promised to stay for over an hour but left the exhibit in just 20 minutes. Even her managers intimidated the organisers asking them to thank their stars as the actor agreed to appear at their event. Surprisingly, Tina was engaged in promotional activities 10 days prior to the show. “We had made full payment before she landed at the show. We feel duped,” says Nikita.
Tinaa Dattaa didn’t respond to our calls and messages till the time of release of this article. However, she responded after the article was published. Here’s what she has to say!
