Armaan Malik doesn’t have definite plans to act in movies but you can ‘never say never’
He’s just 21 and is already a promising star in the world of music. With massive following on the Internet, Armaan Malik’s fans often demand him to become a film star. But is he ready? We met him at FLYP@MTV Café, Delhi, to find this out!

Well, Sonu Nigam is not the only musician following Dhinchak Pooja online. During our chat, Armaan confessed to have been following Pooja, the vocalist who’s often mocked on social media for her so-called music. But Armaan dropped her name in reference to stardom that youngsters are drawing through online platforms like YouTube. “Now young folks need not have to participate in reality shows to make a career. They can easily upload their performances on YouTube. If it is good, it gets viral and get the vocalist due recognition,” says Armaan Malik, a former participant of reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs.

The young star is moving up fast in Bollywood and has already given music to notable projects such as Salman Khan’s Jai Ho. He says he learning the tricks of his game. “I feel nervous and special at the same time when I sing for big stars. I have to sound like them, like for Salman Khan, I had to make my voice thicker,” he tells us.

Armaan’s elder brother, Amaal Malik, already a promising music director, has often raked up his brother’s acting prospects. “Arey! Woh Kuchh bhi bolta hai”, reacts on the mention of Amaal. On a serious note, he says he has no plans to act but adds, “who knows the future… if an opportunity comes my way that I cannot refuse. However, it would be easier for me to play an on-screen singer.”
