Artistic Yoga uses is based on the modern science of fitness and sports medicine, says the yoga guru

Yoga will always remain yoga, as these postures and breathing techniques have been developed thousands of years ago by Indian sages and yogis who researched the human body and understood exactly how to improve the human body as a whole and not just the muscle groups. Yoga is a path that can take an ordinary man all the way to the enlightened state of man – Moksha or Nirvana. This is the highest state possible for a human being, where man is relaxed, detached from the results of his actions, and yet full of energy and passion for life. It is a state of discovering your true origins. No one can tell you this as this must be your own discovery.

Artistic Yoga is a unique approach to yoga, as it uses yogic techniques but is based on the modern science of fitness and sports medicine. Here are five unique aspects that make it different from other forms of yoga:

A COMPREHENSIVE REGIME: It gives equal importance to all five aspects of fitness — strength, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, agility and co-ordinative ability. Most forms of yoga focus on flexibility, and perhaps to a lesser degree, on strength. Artistic yoga is challenging and intense. It focuses on targeted muscle groups therefore gives you results like rapid weight loss, increased energy levels and more power which yoga normally does not focus on.

RESULTS ARE RAPID: Artistic yoga understands that the body must be constantly surprised in order to transform as it adapts very quickly to an exercise or posture making that technique less and less effective as time passes by. Artistic yoga uses several variations of postures and also applies different fitness regimes like circuit training, so that your body is literally shocked. The results are very rapid unlike other forms of yoga.

IT’S FUN TOO: The class is enjoyable and fun. Artistic Yoga believes that unless you enjoy and look forward to your yoga class, you will never have the discipline to continue a regular practice for more than a few months. Our classes are known for that special X factor, which makes you not literally addicted to them. People have been known to plan their lives around their Artistic Yoga classes, unlike other forms of yoga that are known to be boring and monotonous.

DYNAMIC & VERSATILE: Our classes are great for people of all levels and abilities. The art of a great teacher lies in their ability to teach an eighteen-year-old girl, a forty-year-old man and a sixty-year-old lady, all at the same time while giving them exactly the class that they require. Artistic yoga believes in providing personalised instructions to people in order to motivate them, and not simply using a ‘one rule fits all’ mentality which is so common in most yoga classes.

RESULT-ORIENTED: This form of yoga is result oriented and not strict about the ‘rules’ of yoga. While most yoga forms have strict dos and don’ts, Artistic Yoga believes that a man or woman transforms not by force but by choice. You can eat non-veg, drink alcohol and even smoke and still practise it.

Remember, that habits must leave you and not vice versa. Simply increase your fitness levels, your flexibility, your energy levels and your happiness levels. You will watch all your bad habits drop on their own!
