Like cinema, fashion too is a great influencer in society. So everything that leading stakeholders do are watched with great caution. One of the t-shirts at Forever 21’s website (UK) has been pulled off after it outraged fashionistas across the globe. The graphics on the t-shirt read, “Don’t say maybe if you want to say no.” The piece received online backlash as many interpreted it as a tool of victim-blaming after sexual assault.

However, the brand, which is prominently famous among teenagers, has withdrawn the t-shirt. In a statement to Huffpost, the company said, “Forever 21 strives to exemplify the highest ethical standards and takes feedback and product concerns very seriously.  With regards to the t-shirt in question, upon receiving feedback from our customers, we took immediate action to have it removed from our website.  We sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended by the product.”
