If freedom lets you scream in metros, abuse in public places, block traffic on roads and objectify women, you shouldn’t have it! Enough is enough
We Indians are little finicky. We create ruckus when our rights are suppressed but we create even bigger ruckus when we get absolute freedom or liberty to do what we want. This Independence Day, let’s ditch some freedom that we have taken for granted. For a change, clip your wings! Trust us, we all will be better if we stop getting carried away with the idea of ‘Absolute Independence’.
Shouting and abusing in buses, metros, rails and public spaces
Enough is enough! Next time I see that moustached-uncle shouting from the inner chords of epiglottis in metro in his regional language, I swear I will fix his mouth there and then! I HATE IT!
Spitting and littering
Need we say more! We love to pee on the walls that tell us not to urinate on them. We love to throw empty packets of Lays on highways thinking ‘Daag Achhe Hain’! Get lost!
Religious rallies blocking traffic: Oh yes, nobody can utter a word against your religion! I am rather not interested! But dear kanwariyas, for Lord Shiva’s sake, spare us the horror on roads. Stop acting like hooligans and be more civilised the next time you go on that holy trip!
Opinion without knowledge
This is for all the Albert Einsteins or Rahul Gandhis of the world! on Facebook and Twitter! Please, read on the subject before you flesh out your opinion and take social media’s platforms for granted. No, you cannot throw opinions on the basis of a couple of ill-constructed statuses.
Wasting food
There’s no law on this but a recent report on how city people waste food in late night parties left us shocked. This is not done! You have moolahs and buy plenty of food. But they are also our resources. Let’s not waste it. In between, ann devta hai! Bhool gaye?
Breaking rules
This is such a fashion among metro people. Flouting traffic rules or breaking laws is one fantasy that we all dream about. Enough!
Jugaad, sab chalta hain attitude
What the fuck is this? Sab Nahi Chalta Hai! And jugaad is nothing to be proud of! There are ways of executing things properly and we must follow them.
Objectifying women
Thank you Bollywood and porn movies, we are now the champions in objectifying women. And dear Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, dancing in the heap of nude and lustful men is not at all sexy! It’s cheap.
Dharnas
We do not want to offend Arvind Kejriwal or FTII students but dharnas should be orchestrated at Jantar Mantar and not on the roads of Delhi, causing inconvenience to common man!
Bans
Ok, BJP wants to become Ban Janta Party but it’s high time our politicians realise that being legislators doesn’t mean that they can ban anything and everything without even taking consent of all stakeholders! The flip flop over porn ban was just a teaser!
