Mumbai looks forward to the best of LGBT movies!

Kashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival is bringing a slice of its festival to the Mumbai suburbs with the ‘Best of Kashish’ screening organised as part of the ongoing Mumbai Pride Week. The ‘Best of Kashish’, a 4-hour programme of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) films that have won awards or have been audience favourites at Kashish 2014, will be screened at this event to be held on January 24 at SNDT Women’s College, Juhu.
Some of the notable films are Families are Forever, Naked, PDA, Crush-Shake, Spooners, Luigi & Vincenzo and the wonderful lesbian feature Margarita from Canada.
“These films touch a chord within us and make us realise that LGBTQ people are human beings with the same human emotions, and they too need to be accepted as part of the larger social mainstream in every country. It is time we stop discrimination and hatred against LGBTQ persons. Let us together build a society that accords equality and dignity for everyone,” said Sridhar Rangayan, festival director.
What: Best of Kashish screening
When: January 24, 4pm – 8pm
Where: Mini Auditorium, SNDT Women’s University, Juhu
Entry: Free
