Indian fashion diva Ritu Beri has been appointed as Culture and Tourism Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India

India’s internationally-acclaimed designer Rotu Beri has been appointed as Culture andTourism brand Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India. It was officially announced during the Uzbek-Indian joint fashion and music festival, which took place on March 15, at the Embassy of Uzbekistan.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India, Farhod Arziev, presented to Beri the certificate of the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan.

The designer, who shot to global fame in the late 90s, expressed her gratitude to the Tourism authorities and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in India for the honour. Beri also showcased her collection inspired by Uzbek ikats and fabrics. Uzbek fashion labels “Mursak” and “Anor Atelier” also presented their collections. The artists of famous national folk band from Uzbekistan “Surkhon” performed traditional and international melodies for the guests.
