If you think you are a Roadie, you can express yourself through these clothes
— RANNVIJAY SINGHA
What would you expect out of a fashion show that has contestants from MTV Roadies as showstoppers? Lots of drama, bikes and amazing stunts. The glamorous evening was quite an adrenaline rush as VDOT, an edgy youth lifestyle brand from Van Heusen and Viacom 18, launched its latest fashion line inspired by MTV Roadies.
While popular faces like Ayaz Ahmed, Gurmeet Singh, Varun Sood and Nikhil Sachdeva set the ramp ablaze, their mentors Rannvijay, Raghu Ram and Rajiv Laxman turning the heat up as the showstoppers. Rannvijay, who will be seen next in web reality show Squad Rann, arrived on a bike.
“Finally after 12 years of Roadies, there’s a fashion line that totally symbolises what we stand for. A lot of people come to me and say that though they have not been a part of the show, they are Roadie at heart because they have done similar stuff in life. We realised that it’s not about the show, it’s about the character and the attitude that the word Roadie embrace. Roadies are those fearless people who are self-achievers and have carved out their own roads. So now you don’t have to say you’re a Roadie. Your clothes will speak for you,” said Rannvijay.
With the launch of this collection, VDOT has put spotlight on a biker-centric lifestyle that is associated with Roadies. The collection features infusion of elements that co-exist to create a sense of functionality, yet are unique in design. Detailing like coated-biker jackets, denim-leather mix and metal embellishments give the collection a grunge-biker feel. The addition of bike denims with reflective tape details and reflective branding add to the ergonomic functional appeal. T-shirts and shirts with strong directional prints add the much needed sense of drama.
You can buy this collection at all VDOT and Van Heusen stores across the country apart from webstore www.trendIN.com. This will also be available at all leading Departmental stores, Multibrand Outlets and ecommerce platforms.
