‘Homosexuality is a mental disorder’, a girl tells this to Time Out director Rikhil Bahadur
If there are people who are supporting campaigns like queer pride, then there are also people who call homosexuality a ‘mental sickness’! Rikhil Bahadur, director of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures’ forthcoming release Time Out, did a short experiment by stepping out on Delhi streets and know youth’s perception about LGBT. Shockingly, a homophobic girl told him that homosexuality is a mental disorder that needs to be tackled! Her male companion, however, chose to differ and said every individual has the right to make independent decisions on love and sexuality.
The movie releases on September 25 and stars Chirag Malhotra and Pranay Pachauri. It is about a popular school boy guy, who turns out to be gay. The film depicts how his family and his brother, who considers him as a role model, reacts to his sexual orientation. The film-maker has promised it to be a family entertainer.
