WHAT: Former Ms World and dream model of many designers, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, will be back on the ramp almost after five years. She will walk for ace designer Manish Malhotra at Amazon India Couture Week. The diva was last seen at Cannes Film Festival but drew mixed feedback from her critics. Now all eyes are set on this outing which is likely to be held in early August.
BACKGROUND: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has walked for many designers including Manish Malhotra in the past. Her public outings, especially fashion-related, draw a lot of attention. She had taken sabbatical from fashion shows in 2011. The last time we saw her on the runway was for Manish Malhotra only for HDIL India Couture Week. Since she is making a comeback almost after five years, the show is expected to be extra special.
