Delhi recently hosted a vibrant celebration of art with The Capital Art Show at The Claridges. The two-day event showcased over 80 remarkable works of art, offering attendees a rich tapestry of tradition and contemporary creativity. The exhibition brought together some of India’s most respected artists, such as F.N. Souza, S.H. Raza, and Krishen Khanna, alongside rising stars like Jeram Patel.
Curated by Rahul Kumar, the show stood out for its unique blend of past and future narratives. One of the highlights was the debut of Sameera Anand, a fresh voice in the gallery world. Anand’s personal collection — on display for the first time — reflected her deep connection to Delhi’s evolving art scene, shaped by her upbringing in a family gallery.
“This collective is a tribute to my journey and to my father, whose passion shaped my path,” said Sameera Anand, adding, “We’re showcasing works from the masters my parents admired, along with emerging artists who are set to redefine the future of Indian art. It’s about honouring the legacies of the past while embracing the voices of tomorrow.”
More than an exhibition, The Capital Art Show invited visitors to immerse themselves in the emotional power of art, both as an aesthetic experience and as a storytelling medium.
