Frankly, I have never worn clothes with floral motifs. It gives me an eerie feeling. But for Varun Bahl, the new couture is all about the scent of nature. I won’t say he got carried away but found his muse dramatically in the paradise of roses. It was all about the floral prints as flowers bloomed all over the saris, skirts, tops, lehengas and maxi dresses. For menswear, the rule was no different. Sherwanis, dhotis, kurta pyajamas in white, red and black, all had flowers glowing. Varun Bahl said that he was desperate to break this myth that guys don’t love floral prints. “I didn’t want show plain clothes for men. My outfits were high on florals because I wanted to show that today’s men are in awe of flowers,” he said. Yes, he is right. Men are experimenting with their wardrobe but florals are still a distant dream for majority of them, at least for guys like me. Okay, now you can judge me!
Anyway, Randeep Hooda had opened his show.
PS: Varun Bahl is all game for florals for men. Do you like his collection? Post your comments!
