Emma Watson turns recycled plastic into glamorous object and how! By Team Born of Web
Hollywood siren Emma Watson arrived at the star-studded Met Ball in New York in a customised outfit of five pieces, all woven from yarns made from recycled plastic bottles. She layered her off-the-shoulder top with a white corset, teamed with black trousers. The cascading black train of her trousers added the right amount of panache to the outfit.
She posted her photograph on Instagram and shared that the Calvin Klein team has crafted this eco-friendly garment for her. She wrote: ‘With the help of @ecoage this 5 piece look is created from 3 fabrics woven from yarns all made from recycled plastic bottles”, adding “plastic is one of the biggest pollutants – being able to turn this waste into a high quality material is a real success story. Also this beautiful look was designed with the intention to be repurposed for future use; the pants can be worn on their own, the train can be used for another red carpet.”
