It’s my right to reserve my comment: Kay Kay Menon on Padmavat controversy

Kay Kay Menon was speaking at the press conference of his latest film Vodka Diaries

It’s not a secret that most Bollywood stars have refrained from commenting on Padmavat‘s controversy. In one of the recent videos, we have seen how actor Shilpa Shetty even threatened to hit a journalist’s head on asking her opinion on the issue. Even though she laughed after her unusual response to a legit question, she chose not to speak on Padmavat or concerns regarding its censorship. Now, at a recent press conference on his latest film Vodka Diaries, award-winning actor Kay Kay Menon exercised his ‘fundamental right’ to reserve his opinion on ‘any issue’. “It’s my right to reserve my comment,” he said, shooting down the question on Padmavat, which continues to make headlines even after getting green signal from the Censor Board of Film Certification.

Vodka Diaries starring Kay Kay Menon, Raima Sen and Mandira Bedi is a suspense thriller. Though Raima Sen was not available at the conference, the other two actors were happy to talk about their film, experience of working in the film and more. Notably, Mandira is staging her comeback on the silver screen with this film. “Last I was seen on the television in 24. Now I am thrilled to be back with Vodka Diaries as I am doing a romantic sequence for the first time,” Mandira said.
