Karl Lagerfeld is the most fashionable icon that has left an impact on me. His aesthetic sense and innovations in the world of fashion have inspired by sensibilities and drive to achieve.

Three highlights of your latest spring summer collection…
My spring summer collection takes inspiration from Moroccan art and architecture. Three highlights would be: capes, layering and delicate floral hand work.

The brand Ridhima Bhasin stands for…
My brand Bhasin is a contemporary luxury pret womenswear brand. I take inspiration from all things around me and my interests vary from fabrics to art and culture and music. I see strong-willed, confident and independent women wearing my clothes.

One trend that’s overrated and should disappear…
I think the off-shoulder trend has been over-done and should now disappear!

Describe your summer look.
I would definitely stick to lose fitting clothes like capes and skirts, so that there is room for your skin to breathe. Style yourself in the colour of summer. Shun the sun with eggshell whites and off whites, wear pleated culottes and pair with a loose fit asymmetrical cape. Pull your hair back in an elegant bun and make sure you use water proof makeup to avoid sweat-smudges!

Accessories that you cannot do without?
Belts, a comfortable pair of heels and bags!
