Indian labels running high on craftsmanship will be one of the highlights at Purnam exhibition 2017
An eclectic mix of designers, brands, artisans and lifestyle crusaders will come together for Purnam’s much-awaited annual exhibition Rakhi… The Thread of Love, to be held on July 17, 2017, at The Ashok, New Delhi. The 11th edition of the exhibit will have exhibitors from Dubai, Karachi, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata on one hand, you also get to witness the beauty of products from Hissar, Varansai and Benaras on the other. Be it hand-embroidered fabrics, handlooms, exotic lehengas or saris, extravagant jewels, inspiring home decor, fun games or cultural activities, the exhibition has got a lot of elements to keep you hooked. Keep following Born of Web or Purnam‘s Facebook page to know all the highlights!
We give you five reasons to visit Purnam’s Exhibition!
Celebrating a decade of promoting crafts and entrepreneurship, the exhibition will bring to the fore products that spell India with every stitch. Be it the beautiful and rich Benarsi weaves by Roli Mehra’s label, ‘Roliana-The Benarsi Splendour’ or the intricate lucknawi art by NeedleKraft, Lucknow, you can lay your hands on the best Indian craftsmanship.
International labels and exporters will also be taking part at the expo. One can shop beautiful Pakistani creations from Sanam Tamana (Dubai), Indian ethnic wear by Sasa and Ragini Singhania and pretty summery dupattas and stoles from Begum. Fuse some Indian with contemporary silhouettes with label Pooja Malhotra.
There will be plenty of options for accessories too. Grab pretty embellished shoes from Fidaa, Mumbai and dazzling jewellery from Shri Hari Diagems, Queens Jewels and Sapphira Jewels to make the best look of the festive season.
Your kids can’t be left behind when you step out to shop. And they too have to look great during festivities. We have learnt about some cute kids wear, to be displayed at the expo. Specially, do check out some sophisticated stuff by Kids Art Carnival. There’s also lots to deck up your home with. Luxe Victorian pieces by Casa Bonita and ornate serving ware by Pret Homes are to die for.
PS: To kill hunger pangs, get yourself the freshest homemade savoury bites from Nani Ki Mathi.
Along with the rest of the exhibitors, Purnam is also giving a platform to 4 NGOs – Akhsya Pratisthan, Guild For Service, Gyan Asha and The Delhi Society For Welfare of Special Children – to showcase their crafts. Believe in a cause? Then head to Purnam!
