Dhanush is not just an actor par excellence but a loyal friend, too. After making his Bollywood debut with Anand L Rai’s Ranjhanaa, the actor revealed that his next after Shamitabh will be an intense love story with the director who won Dhanush’s faith in the first meeting itself. “I didn’t expect anything when I did Raanjhanaa. I saw a madman in Anand L Rai who was willing to put that budget on a newcomer and had conviction in me. I was overwhelmed as an actor that a random guy is willing to take that kind of risk. I didn’t expect anything. Raanjhanaa was a magic movie. It gave much more than I deserved. I have just done one film and I am thankful to all those who supported me,” said Dhanush, adding that Rai’s next is a romantic tale featuring him. “I want to do all kind of films. The only thing I look forward to is a good script. I can do masala films as well. Any film that wins the heart of the audience is a good film. A movie has to have something, be it action or music or acting, to impress viewers. Being an actor, I believe that people decide what you have to do. Just go with what people expect you to do,” he said.
