Arjun Rampal had been wanting to work with film-maker Sujoy Ghosh for a long time but the actor says nobody was willing to invest in the shortlisted script. “It’s been for six years. But who would have given us money?” says Rampal in our exclusive chat during the promotions of Kahaani 2 in Delhi. It was for a story originally titled Te3n which didn’t work out. However, Ghosh lent the title to another film with Amitabh Bachchan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui released earlier this year.
Rampal says he knew nothing about Kahaani 2 when Ghosh approached him with the script. “He narrated me the story but I didn’t know it was Kahaani 2. I got so engrossed in the script,” he says.
