Baahubali

I was glued and desperate to watch the next part then and there! Nonetheless, Baahubali’s climax will turn 2016 even more exciting 🙂

🙂 Simply spectacular! From the opening scene of thunderstorm and floods in the river valley to the engrossing skirmishes between kingdoms, Baahubali spells larger than life cast all over the screen. The gigantic mountains, mammoth waterfalls are breathtaking and Shiva’s (Prabhas) acrobatics are simply to die for!

🙂 Shiva is a robust man, and brings back the strength of masculinity on screen. He helps feisty warrior Avantika (Tamannaah) meet her femininity. Like a beautiful illustration in motion, he unlocks her hair, glosses her lips, does her eyelashes, takes off her fighter robes… all stages like a symphony. Amazing, and what a fantasy man!

🙂 The epic scenes of wars and confrontations in Baahubali are so engrossing that you feel magnitude of the power. Not for a second, yes for a second, you dwell away from the movie. The pace is fast, like any other South Indian movie, and I just loved it.

🙂 Is this by an Indian filmmaker? Yes, it is! Baahubali is by supremely talented director SS Rajamouli who effortlessly lends a leap in narrating fantasies and epics in India. You draw references to many iconic Hollywood movies, especially The Lord of the Rings, but Baahubali claims its originality, indigenous feel in large spheres.

🙂 It’s an epic but nobody is going overboard. It’s edgy, smart and precise. Bollywood’s rich filmmakers and actors, who pride in drawing crores in a matter of hours, must learn something from this movie. It is this kind of entertainment that you securely call paisa vasool.
