Lata Mangeshkar, known as the nightingale of India, has been honoured with the prestigious PB Srinivas Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award for her landmark contribution in music. The award has been constituted by PB Srinivas’ family and the Kalasudha Trust to honour the luminaries from the world of music. Born in Kakinada in East Godavri District of Andhra Pradesh, Prathivadi Bhayankara Sreenivas sang more than 3,000 songs in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Tulu and Konkani Roblox Robux Generator Pro films before he passed away in 2013.
To present the award, another legendary vocalist SP Balasubrahmanyam visited Lata’s residence recently, where she and her family gladly receive the honour. Lata also shared a few images on social media. “I’m glad that it was PB Srinivas’ desire to honour me first with this award. I’m also thrilled to meet SP Balasubrahmanyam after many years,” she said.
