KRK has targeted all hardworking and successful women, say Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. By Karan Bhardwaj
For several months, Kamaal Rashid Khan aka KRK, an actor and self-proclaimed film critic, has taken potshots at many female Bollywood actresses. He generally targets their looks, mannerisms and acting skills. His latest prey was Alia Bhatt when he called her ‘bachhi‘ while decoding her photo shoot with Sidharth Kapoor for a magazine cover. However, Sidharth had immediately intercepted the ‘Deshdrohi’ actor and asked him to stop tweeting.
Born of Web spoke to Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra about the ugly controversy during their Delhi trip to promote Kapoor and Sons. Malhotra asserted nobody in the film industry should criticise actors for anything but movies. “It’s obvious to get angry. I have read his (KRK) previous comments also, and I’ve worked with him too. I was online when he commented on Alia. I think everybody is allowed to criticise our movies but not demean our personal life. No guy would encourage vulgar comments on girls. It’s sad that KRK has got over 1 million followers,” he responded to a query by Born of Web.

Alia intervened and batted for her rumoured beau’s stand. “I think he has been saying a lot of derogatory remarks about women. Sidharth not only stood up for me but also for all other women who have been his victims. Women that he talks about are talented actresses who have come up after hard work and efforts. So he is genuinely…. Let me not just say this…” she said.
The duo also celebrated Alia’s birthday in Delhi with star cast of Kapoor and Sons including Fawad Khan and director Shakun Batra. Scroll down to watch the video!
