This new short film Interior Cafe Night starring Naseeruddin Shah and Shernaz Patel catches the lovely symphony of a couple meeting after years at a cafe. The movie begins with Shah recognising his old love, who’s sitting in his cafe and scribbling something in a book. You feel the moment when he sets his intense eyes on his ex-love loaded with years of yearning.
In the next ten minutes of their interaction with sequences of flashbacks of their last meeting, the movie captures life coming to full circle for these love buds. In an interesting monologue with his younger self, the old man realises his blunder of letting her lady love go back then, so he is determined to pull her back this time. Both the actors have delivered arresting performances that leave you speechless by the climax. Directed by Adhiraj Bose, the movie has been released by Large Short Films.
