Designers Rohit Bal, Anju Modi, Payal Jain along with FDCI President Sunil Sethi got together for a khadi show, and some enthralling moves
Ace designers Rohit Bal, Anju Modi, Payal Jain & Poonam Bhagat joined hands with the Fashion Design Council of India to put up their latest Khadi collections. The show was staged at NSIC Grounds, as a part of the SME Convention 2018.
But on a fun note, the designers along with FDCI President Sunil Sethi and adguru Prahlad Kakkar broke into an impromptu jig after the show was concluded. Designer Rohit Bal, who was missing during the show, made a surprise appearance towards the end. Spotting their favourite designer, Rajasthani musicians started playing folk songs, asking the designer to show some moves. And as usual, Gudda obliged to the tunes. However, it was Sunil Sethi who stole the moment with his kicking dance! Check out the video below:
Post show, we spoke to designer Anju Modi, who is using Khadi as a tool of empowerment. “Sales from khadi will help a lot of weavers in the villages,” she said.

Designer Payal Jain said she was trying to make Khadi look cool in order to attract youth. “Youngsters are inclined towards fashion which can turn around heads. I want them to consider Khadi as a cool fabric. Also, it is a fabric of summers,” she told BornofWeb.com! Check out the video below:
