The first-of-its-kind, multi-designer store Ensemble that kicked off revolution in the fashion retail industry continues to script new chapters in its legacy of close to 30 years. Recently, they opened latest store at the Khan market. The launch saw a selective gathering of fashionistas, including founder Tarun Tahiliani and his sister Tina Tahiliani. “Ensemble will complete 30 years this December and all along has successfully given a platform to young designers to showcase their collections, some of whom are big brands now,” we are told by Tina Tahiliani, executive director of Ensemble, in a candid conversation.

Tina joined Ensemble about two and a half years after it was established, and is keen to take the brand forward by investing it with contemporary relevance. The range, concurring with this idea has sections of woven sarees, and scarves from different parts of the country. A segment is dedicated to Pashmina with an uncontested quality, while exclusive pieces of jewellery embellish the collection of the store. ‘We curate what we think is the best that Indian fashion has to offer in each category,’ remarks Tina Tahiliani. The cool and elegant range posits a contemporary edge in the collections of established designers, that is showcased at the new store of Ensemble.
