Digital superstar Bhuvan Bam spoke about his latest web series Rafta Rafta and ambitions of making debut in a Bollywood movie
After scoring major success on social media platforms with his comedy videos, digital sensation Bhuvan Bam is making waves on OTT platforms. His latest slice-of-life series Rafta Rafta is drawing a lot of attention. Streaming on Amazon miniTV for free, the rom-com series features a newly married couple making adjustments and trying to get along. There are lots of twists and turns, some funny, some emotional. In Delhi, Bhuvan Bam took out some time at the Metropolitan Hotel and chatted with us.
“New couples would see what’s going to come ahead in their life, older couples would be like, ‘aisi he hota hai’, and for singles, the show is a masterclass. They can treat it like a tutorial,” he quipped. On his takeaway from the show, he said ‘one should not compromise self-respect and must not give space to ego in a relationship.’
On his ambitions to become a big screen actor, he feels his time has not yet come. He is still learning the craft and working on his own content ideas. “Yes, there’s a dream…to achieve. But I don’t have high hopes as it can take some time. I am creating content as per my calibre, and will go with the flow in future,” he said.
Bam has become a role model for digital influencers. He emphasised on the importance of original content. “There’s no perfect time to start…You can start anytime. I think you should try to give unique content which is your patent. Only you should give that content and there’s no one with that kind of content,” he said.
